Build your own topics

Other apps decide what your child studies. You decide: describe the topic and the age, and our AI writes the lesson, ten questions and a spelling set. Review it, tweak anything, and it behaves exactly like the ones we ship.

What we will and will not write

Almost anything, and a short list of nothing

Ask for car brands, netball positions, the water cycle, the Black Death, the second world war, the Stolen Generations. Hard subjects are part of what children learn and we write them, handled for the age you picked.

Two kinds of request we turn down. The first is the obvious one: nothing hateful, sexual, or teaching a child to hurt themselves or break the law. This is a product five-year-olds use, and we are strict about it.

The second is less obvious and catches more people, so it is worth a sentence. A quiz question has one right answer, and a child who picks another is marked wrong. That works for which country has the largest population. It does not work for which country is the worst, because we would have to invent an answer and then mark a child wrong for disagreeing with it. So topics that come down to opinion, taste or a live argument get declined, and where we can we offer you the real topic you were probably after instead.

Being declined never costs you a topic from your monthly allowance. Every request is checked before it is written and again before it reaches a child, and topics you make stay private to your family. The full list is in section 6 of the terms.

Three ways to practise

Learn, Quiz and Spelling on every topic, built-in or your own. Read a short lesson, answer ten questions, or pick the correctly spelled word.

Milestones you set, rewards they can actually have

Choose the order your child works in, then pin a real reward to a point in it: ice cream after the seven times table, the park after Continents. They see it sitting in the path from the day you set it, and nothing hands it over early. No coins, no gems, no shop.

Milestones you set, rewards they can actually have.

Timing you control

No timer, count up, or a hard limit of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 minutes. An adult can lock the setting, and the child sees "Set by your parent". Pausing unmounts the question rather than covering it, so a paused test cannot be studied.

The timing setting: No Timer, Count Up and Time Limit, with 3 minutes chosen.

The interactive world map

Tappable countries, highlighted-region prompts and country silhouettes. The Countries topic is built on it, and your own topics can use map prompts too.

A world map question, "Which continent is highlighted?", with Asia shaded and four answers below.

Maths that shows the shape of the answer

Multiplication is drawn as an array: eleven rows of ten, visibly a hundred and ten. Children see the pattern before they memorise the fact.

An 11 times 10 question drawn as eleven rows of ten counters, with four answers to choose from.

Leaderboards, on your terms

Ranked on each child’s best attempt, per topic and per mode. Results are private to the family by default; public boards are opt-in and use an alias, never a real name.

Show them on the public leaderboard.
Schools

Classes, assignments and a report that rolls up

Group students into classes, assign a topic or a timed quiz to the whole roll, and read the result back per class or across the school - one export, no spreadsheet stitched together by hand.

Milestones and rewards

50,000 coins, redeemable for nothing

Most children's apps pay out in a currency they print themselves. Eggs, gems, coins, points. Your child banks fifty thousand of them, and the only thing they can be spent on is the next level of the same app. There is no currency here and there is not going to be one.

You set the milestone and you set the reward. Pick the order your child works in, choose a point in it, and write what happens when they reach it. Ice cream at the park. Half an hour of the game. The pool on Saturday. Give it a picture and it sits in the path from the day you set it, so it is something to aim at rather than a surprise at the end.

Nothing pays out early. A reward is earned when the milestone behind it has genuinely been passed, worked out from attempts that were marked on our server and cannot be edited afterwards. Your child gets the celebration, and you get told, because you are the one who keeps the promise.

Why we will not mint our own money →

No coins, no gems, no shop, no in-app purchases, and no streak that punishes a day off. The subscription is the whole business model.

Each one has all three modes and its own leaderboard, and none of them stops you describing your own for our AI to write.

The same features, set up for a class

Everything above works per class as well as per child: AI-written topics against your unit plan, locked assessment settings, and results rolled up by class rather than by family.

  • Sequenced to the Australian Curriculum v9.0

1000+ topics, Foundation/Prep to Year 6, in Maths and English, each topic carrying its own ACARA reference.

  • Describe it against your unit plan

Staff describe a topic for the week they are teaching, and our AI writes it, not the roadmap you were sold.

  • Assessment settings, locked

A fixed limit students cannot change, and a pause that removes the question.

  • Results by class

Best-attempt scores rolled up per class, per topic and per mode.

  • Aliases everywhere

Students appear under an alias, and public boards stay off until you turn them on.
