Who’s learning today?
The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef runs for about 2,300 kilometres along the coast of Queensland. It is not one reef but nearly 3,000 of them, built by tiny animals called polyps.
Each polyp is smaller than your fingernail. It builds a hard cup of limestone around itself, and when it dies the cup stays behind.
