What Roll over does
On a class's page, Roll over is built for the end of a school year: it creates a new class, moves the entire roster onto it, and archives the old one - in one action rather than recreating everyone by hand.
Nothing is lost
Every teacher who was assigned to the old class keeps their assignment on the new one, so nobody has to be reassigned from scratch. Each student's history - their finished topics, their results - stays exactly as it was; rolling over moves where a student sits going forward, it doesn't touch what they've already done.
The old class
The class you rolled over from is archived, not deleted. It stays visible (via Restore
