Learn pages vs Activities

Two ways to work through a topic

Every topic on PebbleYard offers two kinds of session, and your child can usually choose either from the topic's hub card:

• Learn - an untimed page to read. No score, no pressure, nothing recorded beyond "this child opened this page." It's where a child meets new material before being tested on it.
• Activity - a timed set of questions. It's graded and the result is recorded permanently against that child - see How grading works and results are recorded.

Why the split matters

Reading and testing are different jobs, so PebbleYard keeps them as different screens rather than mixing quiz questions into a lesson. A child can revisit a Learn page as many times as they like with no consequence, then attempt the Activity once they're ready.
